I am an artist from Pittsburgh, PA, constantly exploring new media to help bring underrepresented stories to light. With a focus on Black women, I strive to honor and uplift the nuances of our history as well as the infinite possibility of our futures. I work primarily in collage, graphic design, and painting, but I have also been classically trained in drawing, ceramic sculpture, and printmaking. More recently, I’ve studied metal sculpture, mural design, and gouache painting.
Ada grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, attending Pittsburgh CAPA 6-12 and graduating from the Visual Arts department in 2017. She now studies at Yale University in New Haven, CT, expecting to receive her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in the History of Art in 2022. While at Yale, she has continued to take studio art classes and create artwork outside of her major. Her artwork has most recently been featured in tender: a literary anthology and book of spells, a collection created entirely by Black womxn from Pittsburgh.
