I paint things that interest me. Hot air balloons at the Spiedie Fest, Marcellus drilling rigs that look like space shuttles ready to launch, old photographs, historical events, and things I 've seen when traveling all end up in my art.  My work is impressionistic. I use oil and sometimes, gold leaf.

Eileen Kopleman grew up on a dairy farm in Susquehanna County, PA. She was a Rotary International exchange student to Sweden, and graduated from Indiana University of PA after spending her junior year in France. She was a retail clothing buyer for twenty years. She began painting at the age of forty-four under the tutelage of fine artist Carol W. Salyers. Eileen lives in Lower Burrell with her husband. Many of her ancestors came to New England on the Mayflower in 1620.
