I paint things that interest me. Hot air balloons at the Spiedie Fest, Marcellus drilling rigs that look like space shuttles ready to launch, old photographs, historical events, and things I 've seen when traveling all end up in my art.  My work is impressionistic. I use gold leaf and oil.

Eileen Kopleman grew up on a dairy farm in Susquehanna County, PA. She was a Rotary International exchange student to Sweden, and graduated from Indiana University of PA after spending her junior year in France. She was a retail clothing buyer for twenty years. She began painting at the age of forty-four under the tutelage of fine artist Carol W. Salyers. Eileen lives in Lower Burrell with her husband.
