Grits Capone is the nom de plume of Corey Carrington, a poet, writer, journalist, and blogger. His work is inspired by the experiences of being a young black man in America who has seen the best and the worst that society has to offer. The themes in my work deal with love, sex, abandonment, family, drugs, urban violence, and individualism. My goals are to release a book of poetry and a spoken word album. I also hope to travel the world performing my works and inspire other with my words.
