I think of my artwork as a manifestation of make-believe, childhood adventures through my Nana's backyard. As a kid, a streetside group of trees could be seen as a dark, endless forest and a junkyard as a post-apocalyptic city--my youthful eyes were like portals into unknown worlds. As I grew, and the portals in my eyes began to vanish, I desperately searched for ways to document my adventures and keep them alive. With a pencil in one hand and a paintbrush in the other, I learned that the best way to immortalize these worlds was through my artwork.
