I paint in several mediums and my work is eclectic. I enjoy working in different styles and mediums. For the most part, my life's work has been teaching dance and acting, directing and choreographing. I find that there are so many similar and overlapping elements in the performing arts and the visual arts. Line, shape, color, force are just a few. Due to my strong theater and dance background, I find that as a visual artist I especially love to paint pictures that tell a story…either in the emotional expression of a person, or the movement and color of a cloud filled sky. I do prefer to paint figures, love to do portraits, but also enjoy being able to switch modes and paint landscapes, urban scenes and the occasional still life.
For me, art has always been about telling stories. The stories evoke thought, emotion or bring back memories
