I make contemporary memento mori ("remember you must die") in a variety of media from embroidered textiles to full-sized billboards. The intent of the work is to encourage the viewer to be mindful of the ephemeral nature of life, nations and the works of man.
My focus leans more towards wit than morbidity in an effort to create work that I hope will resonate with contemporary viewers.
