I am inspired by two schools of painting; Impressionism and the muralists of the WPA movement. In fact many of my large paintings in recent years have been for community projects. I enjoy painting nature and animals and have found a niche painting portraits of pets in settings that are meaningful to the owners. I am hoping to expand my work into more public art and I have worked on some projects that will create both public art and fundraising for my community.
