I consider myself a self taught artist. I attribute the inspiration and ideas for my artworks to my loving color, my constant contact with children and their creative expression, my background in modern dance (which I believe gave me a special sense of how to use the blank space class="MsoNormal">My artworks range from painted drawings of fantasy figures and landscapes, still life paintings composed of real and made up objects, paintings of dance phrases and dance gestures, reworked prehistoric and primitive images and designs. My work has also included collages, carving drywall relief pieces, paintings class="MsoNormal">My works are part of many private and corporate collections in Pittsburgh and around the country.
I hope that my artworks will evoke some eyebrow lifting, some smiles and laughs. I also hope they evoke a sense of wonder, and maybe mystery. Most of all I hope they evoke a joy in the love of color and fantasy.
