Dick Lynn Studios, Pittsburgh, PA
Under this company, I mainly design and build furniture and other woodwork.
Still, I have continued previous endeavors and developed and produced several projects, and performed consulting duties with PBS stations in Dallas and Little Rock. I am currently developing a concert video for PBS with Los Lobos, and a public affairs radio series . I produced 1999's First Night (New Year’s Eve) celebration for the city of Pittsburgh, incorporating a diversity of artists from avant garde (New Yuorican Poets, techno) to traditional (Mr. Rogers, Beakman's World) all with a them of bringing ALL of Pittsburgh together. I also Executive Produced a crime series for Court TV, titled "Ira’s People".
Executive Producer, National Productions, KTCA/Minneapolis (PBS)
The station produced such series as "Hoop Dreams", "Newton’s Apple", "Alive From Off Center", and "Liberty". I helped to secure financing for "Liberty" by developing a soundtrack with my acquaintances at Warner Special Products, by providing the idea to use Mark O’Connor (bluegrass fiddler/composer) to compose the soundtrack for the Nashville Symphony Orchestra. I also made an ancillary deal that allowed "Alive TV" to move outside of the station as an independent entity.
